Organizational Overview

Daami Youth Development Organization (DYDO) is a marginalized minority–led, youth-driven non-governmental organization established in 2008 and officially registered in 2010 in Somaliland. Founded by a group of passionate young people from underrepresented communities, DYDO promotes inclusive youth development, social justice, and sustainable community transformation.

As a youth-led and youth-serving NGO, DYDO empowers young people to lead change through leadership, advocacy, digital innovation, and climate resilience. The organization provides a platform for youth empowerment, civic participation, and creative problem-solving — enabling young people to translate their potential into practical social, environmental, and digital impact.
